Feeling weird and kind of empty

This is going to be a little different than a few of my posts. Yesterday something big happened in downtown Seattle. A man who carried a grenade was killed who entered the courthouse. The grenade turned out to be inert and the man turned out to be someone I have heard on the radio pretty often. The man's name was Peter Manley and he would often go on the BJ Shae. to explain his plight. Basically he was a believer in father's rights and saw the corrupt system that is in place corrupt. He believed that it is a form of slavery to force a man to pay for someone else to raise his children. I don't really want to go into that aspect right now. I do agree with most of what he says. The system is wrong as it stands now. Women get the kids over 90% of the time. I find it hard to believe that women would be the better parent 90% of the time, especially if they have to recieve child's support to be able to support the child. Also break this down, you can go to jail for being voluntarily unemployeed to get out of paying child's support. So basically the government is telling you, you have to work. Also the government tells you how much you can live on and how much you should be making.

The reason I feel a little empty is because I do not have a cause I believe in enough I would die for. I do not have a cause I believe in enough to get off my lazy ass to do anything other than play video games. Here was a man who was willing to give his life just for the hope that his plight would actually be listened to.

So do any of the 2 people who read this have a cause they are willing to die for?

I don't have a cause, per say, for which I would commit suicide. There are people that I would die for if the situation arose, but I would never do what this man did.

One has to argue to, did this man succeed in bringing positive attention to his cause? I would think not because the news media isn't focusing on why he did, just that he did. Mainly he comes off looking like a lunatic and that never rationalizes a cause.

Well I have heard that arguement and chances are he will be forgotten quickly. However any attention to his cause is more than he was able to do with convential means.

Some news media are actually talking about why he did it. Which is more attention that ever came to the cause.
