PAX Day

Happy PAX day everyone. The Penny Arcade Expo looks to be a lot of fun. Today I am hoping to catch the Red Versus Blue showing. Tomorrow I am looking forward to MC Chris. Sunday I am not looking forward to anything but I am going since I am paying.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
Sunday is my birthday. I am going to be 27. Also known as 3 years away from 30. How sad. I remember my dad's 30th birthday. I guess that is weird for everyone else, but I was 13 at the time. You would remember if you were me. Now I am about to be 27. Wow, it is hard to believe that I have been alive for 27 years. SO many things have happened during those 27 years. Unfortuantly none of them were a Dolphins superbowl win.

Miami Dolphins
Sad thing about lack of TIVO is that I do not get to see the game this weekend. The hurricane makes rain so it will probably be really rainy on saturday. I am just hoping for a better showing than last week. Last week was pretty pathetic. Looked like a step back. Hopefully this week will be more of a step forward. Eddie Moore makes it back for this first game. He needs to show why he needs to make the team. I am rooting for him. So much talent, yet injured all the time. The guy you might of heard about who is making his first game is Ronnie Brown. It will be interesting if they have Ronnie and Ricky on the field at the same time. Here is hoping for no injuries.

Been so long since I Blogged and rolled

oh man, woo. Ever been so sore that you couldn't sleep? I was that way on monday. I worked out for the first time on sunday. Went to sleep at midnight, at 1:39 I woke up in a lot of pain of soreness. I thought I took it easy. My muscles told me I did not. I got a membership at Bally's total fitness. I have gone 3 times since Sunday. Lets hope I can keep that up.

FOOTBALL
Football rules. I was able to watch the Dolphin game due to the greatest Network EVER. I love the NFL Network. I love football so much. I can't wait till Sept. 8th. FOOTBALL FOOTBALL FOOTBALL!!!! Well the Dolphin game was neat. It was a killing it looked like however there were positives. The 1st string defense was amazing. They sacked Leftwich 4 times in the first quarter and a half. I know it is preseason and meaningless, but damn. Also the offensive line looked good. Also if you could catch the highlights there were some amazing plays. Two great catches by Jaguars. Two amazing runs by Ricky. One amazing catch by Chris Chambers. Man can I not wait till it counts. Also TO, if you are reading this, the reason why people don't like you is because of you. Not the media. Not the Eagles. Just the stupid things you have said. I know you aren't reading this, so who cares.

Blogging
Blogging is weird when you think about it. Woody wrote this amazing blog about how to blog. I don't know where it is so you will have to search it. I break every rule pretty much. I talk about my boring ass life. I cuss. I write irregularly. I rarely link. Too much effort. However it is still a weird thing. It started as a way to kind of keep in touch with Kerry. Then I decieded to blog because, hey what the hell I like writing random things and hope people read them and think how stupid I am. I haven't got obsessed with reading blogs like my friend Carla who I have yet to meet. Who supposedly reads a bunch of blogs a day. I just read Kerry's and Woody's everyday. Which is kind of weird since I have never met Woody and I have never actually talked to him online or any one on one type of thing like the two other blogs I read once in a while. Carla's and Dece's. Which is a good blog to read if you want to read a blog about a girl who seems to be going on a nervous breakdown. If she kills herself, I will not be surprised. I think I read Woody's because of the quotes. It is so addicting. I just wish he would have "R.U.O.K". It is from one of the greatest movies of all time.

OH YEA

Football is neat

Well today was the first preseason game. It was an interesting game. I am sure all my readers want to know what I thought about my beloved phins(Woody). Well like all fans I want to watch my team dominate and destroy everything in their path. They did not. They looked like a team learning a new scheme in their first preseason game. Few things I did find curious. The first thing is the fact that it almost looks like Miami plays a 5-2 defense.

Positives.
Y. Bell played well at safty. He is so fast. It looked like he played strong safty.

K. Carter did well against the run.

The offensive line's pass blocking was a lot better than last year. They need work on the blitz pick up, however they were not getting totally killed like last year.

Mario Edwards sucks


Kay Jay Harris looked good in blitz pick up. I think his chance of making the team increased after this game.

L. Diamond looked like a diamond in the rough. I had no idea who this guy was, however he looked like he is going to earn a spot on this team.

Pretty much all the starting recievers looked good. They got open, they made most of their catches. Well D. Thompson did drop a one he should of had. Awesome catch by Gilmore. Boston looked like he is close to returning to form.

Ehhh things
Quarterback play was pretty decent. AJ made some good throws does not look as calm under pressure as Gus. The problem with AJ is that he is just not experienced enough. Gus did drive them down for a touchdown. A pretty decent drive.

Run stopping was decent. It wasn't world beating, but there were some improvements. One big run came on a blitz where either Madison messed up or he was supposed to go to the quarteraback. Basically the perfect play call for that blitz package.

The play of the guy they traded the Seahawks for was ok. Not world beating(fun thing to say), yet much better than Mario Edwards. Richard was his name

Negatives
Pass rush. That sucked. They need to improve on this a lot. Hopefully they will get their blitzes down better. It ain't easy.

I would say pass defense as a whole, but the cornerbacks needed a better rush and for people to get into passing lanes and stuff. To me this seems like a defense that depends on getting to the quarterback and making him make mistakes.

Run blocking. For one reason or another it did not look great. I do not know as I have not and will not look at the film.

3 slash 4 string defensive players are very unimpressive at pass defense.

Closing statements
This is the first preseason game. One of the main faults with fans is that they look way to deep into preseason games. These are games that are glorified practices. Right now Miami as a team has a lot to learn and they have plenty of time to do it with.

Football
Looks like a lot of signings have not taken place. Ronnie Brown has not signed. Braylon Edwards hasn't signed and Cedric Benson has not signed. Ronnie Brown is wanting 22 million dollars of guaranteed money, the Dolphins want to pay him 19 million. Braylon wants to get paid a lot. I don't know the story with him, but he probably doesn't want to get paid less than Benson who wants to get paid as much as Rivers even though Rivers was a wierd exception last year. I think the NFL should cap these contracts somehow. It takes away money from veteran players. Plus I don't like paying players who have yet earn the money in the NFL. I dislike paying for potential, I like paying for results.

Dave Chappelle show
According to Charlie Murphy the show is over. If you want to find the link look it up lazy mother son of a basket eater. I read it on yahoo. Myself I do not believe it. I will believe it when Comedy Central files a lawsuit against Dave Chappelle. That is when I will know it is over. Nothing says over like, "I AM SUING YOU FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT".

Comedy Radio
I forgot how much I liked comedy radio. I like listening to stand up. I am listening to allcomedyradio.com. This is the best I have found. It will serve me well till BJ comes back from his contract.

PS3
According to gamespot the PS3 might not come out till 2007. It all depends on how well the XBox360 does. I wonder how big the 360 is. Myself I am not sick of the XBox. A lot of amazing games are still coming out. They are still very beautiful. So it will be intersting on how well the XBOX360. Almost hope it does get off to a slow start so the PS3 can come out later with more games and hopefully more stable of a system.
